Be a Coffee Connoisseur
Professional coffee tasters, called "cuppers," taste coffee much like wine connoisseurs. They taste and smell the coffee, fully observing the aroma, flavor, body and other subtleties.
The next time you brew your favorite NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto coffee, take a few minutes to savor it, paying particular attention to these attributes:
-
Aroma-the smell of the coffee. Is it fruity? Herbal? Woody? For some people, the fragrant aroma of coffee brewing is enough to kick-start their day! So, wake up and smell the coffee-literally!
- Body-the way the coffee feels when you drink it. Take a sip and note the weight and texture of the coffee. Does it feel heavy and thick like whole milk? Or light and fluid like water?
- Acidity-the "life" of the coffee. Acidity in coffee is not a negative attribute. Is it sharp? Vibrant? Bright? Without the proper amount of acidity, coffee would taste flat and boring.
- Flavor-the overall taste of the coffee, the culmination of all the coffee's attributes. Is it nutty? Spicy? Sweet? Snappy?
- Aftertaste-how long does the pleasant flavor linger in your mouth after you've swallowed the coffee? Does it change? Diminish?
Simply raise your awareness of these subtle sensations, and you'll enjoy your Dolce Gusto coffee even more!
