Dark Chocolate Orange Fondue

A combination of premium, dark chocolate and citrus orange makes this indulgent fondue a simply irresistible treat.

Ingredients:

2/3 cup heavy whipping cream

8 oz. NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® CHOCOLATIER 53% Cacao Dark Chocolate Baking Bar finely chopped

1 tablespoon orange liqueur (optional)

1 teaspoon grated orange peel

Marshmallows, fresh fruit (washed and patted dry) cake cubes and/or pretzels

Directions:

HEAT cream in small, heavy-duty saucepan over MEDIUM-HIGH heat; bring just to a boil. Remove from heat. Add chocolate; stir until smooth. Add liqueur and orange peel; mix well. TRANSFER fondue to fondue pot; place over low heat. To serve, dip marshmallows, fruit, cake and/or pretzels into melted chocolate. Stir often while on heat. Makes 1 1/4 cups.

Since receiving a fondue pot for Christmas LAST YEAR I have been searching for a really good dessert fondue recipe...and this is it! Before preparing this recipe, but after reading the reviews I decided to substitute Grand Marnier (raspberry liqueur) for the orange liqueur and it was absolutely FABULOUS! I have shared this recipe and this website with many of my friends...thanks, Nestle.

This chocolate orange fondue is a delicacy among friends and family. However, this recipe only produces four servings. It is very easy to follow, but if being made for a party or a get-together, can be very expensive. this is why i prefer to replace the animal products for soy-milk and replacement items. in the end, I have vegan chocolate orange fondue!

Loved this one. My guests loved it too. Double the recipe and used amaretto instead of orange liqour. Will certainly be one of my favorites. I will use this recipe for the Christmas Season.
